About our food bank
Established in 2007, Devizes & District Foodbank (DDFB) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and part of the Trussell Trust (www.trusselltrust.org) network of food banks. We’re a well-established and effective food bank, with our main centre and food store in Devizes; we cover a number of towns and villages, including Marlborough and Pewsey. We currently have three members of staff, two of whom are part-time and around fifty volunteers. We support over 2,000 people per annum, we work with more than 60 recognised agencies and process more than 25 tonnes of food and consumables per annum.
Joining our board of trustees
We’re looking to recruit new trustees to the board of Devizes & District Foodbank. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a team, dedicating your time and support to help your community. Our trustees have experience in a range of fields, but we are looking to add to to this, and to our local knowledge.
We’re looking for new trustees who might be:
- interested and experienced in organising Events
- interested or experienced in safeguarding and Health & Safety
- interested or experienced in the benefits system or universal credit
- based in the Marlborough or Pewsey area
- passionate about Devizes & District Foodbank’s work

As a trustee with Devizes & District Foodbank, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the leadership of the food bank and ensuring that the food bank can continue to provide support to those who need it in your local community. Our trustees meet formally four times a year but in addition there are sub-groups and teams so the commitment can be two to three days per month or more.
