Hello everyone
We are thrilled by the amount of food donations coming into the Foodbank. Please remember though that we only accept non-perishable items and that they must have a minimum of 4 months before the ‘best before date’.
Can I also please ask that you do not donate those long forgotten tins and jars lurking at the back of your store cupboards. We are unable to give out anything that is out of date and it gives us extra work in disposing of the items.
Our most needed items as of today are:
Tinned potatoes
Instant mash potato
Tinned ham
Tinned mackerel
Tinned/long life sponge puddings
If you are shopping in Sainsbury’s or Morrison’s in Devizes or Tesco or Waitrose in Marlborough, these can be left in the permanent collect points at those stores. Otherwise, contact us and we can let you know the best way to get the donations to us.
A big thank you to everyone who has made cash donations. If I have contact details for you then you will receive an acknowledgement in due course – it has been a very busy two weeks!!
