Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.
We particularly need the following:
Van driver
Van drivers play a fundamental role in the running of the food bank, collecting food donations from a variety of locations across the local area as well as distributing the sorted donations from the warehouse to the local food bank centres.

Food bank Centre Volunteer
In this role, you will be the first face people see when coming into our café session, and so you will welcome clients to a safe, caring, non-judgemental space for them to collect their emergency food boxes, as well as offer to refer them to the Citizens Advice Worker attending the session, and provide further signposting support where possible.

Warehouse assistant and shift team leader (Thursday morning)
You’ll lead a team sorting and packing food and additional items in the warehouse. You’ll be organised and have an eye for detail; this includes checking, weighing and recording stock and sorting food by date and type. This is a physical role as you’ll be on your feet a lot and you must be comfortable with some heavy lifting and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse.

Social media and website coordinator
You’ll help us expand and develop the food bank’s reach across various digital social media platforms by promoting the activities, values and aims of the food bank.
