Job Vacancy – Part-time Foodbank Assistant (£13 an hour)

Devizes and District Foodbank is dedicated to helping people in crisis by providing them with emergency food and working with the local community to address their needs. We are looking for a part-time foodbank assistant to provide support to the Project Manager in all aspects of the operation of Devizes and District Foodbank warehouse (based in Devizes SN10). The role is for 10 hours per week, over 5 days, Monday to Friday (2 hours per day ideally between 10am-12pm, but flexibility may be required).

Work alongside a team of volunteers to ensure that all areas of the warehouse for Devizes and District foodbank (“DDFB”) are run efficiently coordinating effective stock control and arranging timely transportation of collections and deliveries, whilst meeting legislative standards – i.e. Health & Safety/Environmental Health. Work in association with Foodbank Centre volunteers adhering to approved DDFB policies and procedures. This Job Description will be reviewed after a three month settling in process. You will be willing to deputise for the Project Manager in their absence (this will involve a degree of flexibility and possible additional hours).
